To comply with State Government Standards Council is currently undertaking a program of changing the green / black lid of the general waste garbage bins. These lids will now be red and these bins are still to be used for general domestic waste. The yellow lid bin is still to be used for recyclable materials and please remember not to place your recyclables in plastic bags.

Council is also considering introducing a third green lidded bin for garden and green waste in the next twelve months, depending on a suitable processor being found for the material collected.

If you have any enquiries relating to these new lids or any waste or garbage matters please call Council's waste management message line on 6660 0350.
