Old Lawrence Road (off Busby Flat) – Road closed due to Old Lawrence Bridge over Deep Creek unsafe.

Halstead Drive Casino (road under bridge at Webb Park) will be closed from Monday 31 October 2011 to Friday 4 November 2011. Repairs will be undertaken to stormwater outlet damaged in the last flood.

The community is invited to make comment on the Community Engagement Strategy and Policy documents adopted by Council at its Meeting on 20 September 2011.

The Community Engagement Strategy has been developed to ensure a regular and continuing program of engagement with all of our communities about planning for the future of the Richmond Valley.

The Community Engagement Policy outlines how Council proposes to undertake various community engagement processes.

Both the Strategy and Policy are a response by Council to the views expressed by the community during the Community Strategic Plan processes undertaken from October 2009 to May 2011.

Copies of the documents are available at Council's Administration Offices at Casino and Evans Head and on Council's Website.

Application has been made to Richmond Valley Council for reclassification to allow B-Double Vehicle access to the following roads –

Alfred Street, Wagner Street and Woodburn Street, Woodburn - for the provision of a B-double route to be used in emergency situations when directed by RTA, Police or Richmond Valley Council.

Alfred Street Woodburn – from River Street (Pacific Highway) to Richmond Street

Richmond Street Woodburn - from Alfred Street to North Street (Pacific Highway) crossing Sussex and Kent Streets, Woodburn.
