The greens staff were the real the winners last week for the way they presented the course after inclement weather for most of the preceding week.
Although the rain cleared for Saturday’s ‘Tea Tree Plantation” sponsored 2Ball Aggregate + Single Stableford, strong winds arrived to make things difficult for most players.
In the wash up, Andrew Fulwood,[8], and George Smith –Roberts,[26], shared top the score in the 2 Ball of 77pts with Keith Larsson and Matt Hobbs,[both off 15], with the former pair having the best of the count back.
This was Smith – Roberts’ maiden win, and he made it a double, winning the Single with 45pts, with Matt Hobbs making it a double of runner up prizes with 41pts.
Golf balls were won to 32pts in the Single, and to 63pts in the 2 ball, in count back in both cases.
The Single Stroke for the “Naked Blonde Challenge” on Thursday was won by Steve Pinchin,[33], from Lismore, with a nett 60, but even with this score Pinchin had to survive a count back from serial Thursday winner, John Flick,[28].
There was a count back on 71 for golf balls.
